I've ran into Robyn's videos a few days ago on Youtube. Not sure if I like the music, or the neon and light colors of the videos! Either way, I bet this will be part of my spring-summer soundtrack!

Btw, Robyn is a swedish singer who has been around since the 90's, but has been gaining popularity especially since 2008.

Encontrei os vídeos da Robyn por acaso há uns dias atrás, no Youtube. Ainda não percebi bem se gosto das músicas, ou das cores vivas e néons dos vídeos! De qualquer forma, aposto que vão fazer parte da minha banda sonora primavera-verão!
Já agora, a Robyn é uma cantora sueca que já cá anda desde os anos 90, mas que tem ganho popularidade especialmente a partir de 2008.

After reading in February's Vogue Magazine that pale colors are coming back on next season, I decided to make some research in order to get a second opinion. I'm always excited when my favorite colors are about to be trendy again, because I'm really reluctant to use hot/strong colors. For instance, yellow, no way...

Besides, I've recently watched Marie Antoinette (Sophia Coppola), which definitely brought me to the neo-baroque mood. Lace, bows, satin... this combination in pastel shades for me is forever adorable *-*

And thus I'll leave with some pale, refined, romantic and feminin set of images.

Depois de ter lido na Vogue de Fevereiro que os tons pálidos vão voltar na próxima estação, fiquei com curiosidade para saber outras opiniões e fiz uma pequena pesquisa. Fico sempre contente quando as minhas cores preferidas são tendência, já que sou mesmo muito relutante em adoptar cores fortes. Amarelo então, nem pensar...

Além disto, como revi o filme Marie Antoinette (Sophia Coppola) há poucos dias, fiquei mesmo com o mood neo-barroco em alta! Rendas, laços, cetins... esta combinação em cores pastéis para mim é eternamente adorável *-*

Hoje começa oficialmente o ano novo deste blog! É dia 5, não estou assim tão atrasada...
Tenho de admitir que passei muito tempo sem postar, mas nas férias não tenho paciência para horas de internet, por isso fiz férias do blog também. :) Já tinha saudades...
Ok vou ser completamente honesta e admitir que o 9GAG sugou um pouco da minha alma ultimamente, mas eu sou mais forte e vou sobreviver!

The first, called karl, will be available at net-a-porter.com in January 25th, and will feature about 100 pieces, including fingerless gloves and detachable collars, costing within 60€ to 300€. I was truly surprised to know about this, because I thought Karl would never be low-cost!
The second collection, Karl Lagerfeld Paris, is an exclusive brand, with high-end prices (up to 2500€) and will be at sale in a few selected stores.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - H&M

H&M is launching a capsule collection inspired on the movie The girl with the dragon tattoo.
It's a small collection, with 30 pieces in dark colours, reflecting movie's main character: Lisbeth Salander. This line is now on sale exclusively at Collete, and at December 14th will arrive to 180 selected H&M stores across the globe.
I'm really excited about this, not just for the collection itself (I think it's a bit rough for me), but for the movie's story. I don't really know what it is about, and I will only found out when I see it! There is so much going on about it, all the publicity I've seen in movie theaters... curiouser and curiouser

Let's start the day and submit a new post.
Have you heard about the latest hair trend, when it comes to colour? It's called dip dyed hair, or ombre (shadow, in french). The aim is to apply colour only on hair tips, leaving the rest of the hair with his natural colour. There are mainly two versions of this trend, one edgy, with bright colours, and the other sophisticated and discrete, using a lighter/darker tone in relation to your own hair colour.
Later I'll post a photo of my own hair, which is dip dyed with a twist for a specific hairstyle :D

I know everyone is super excited with the Versace for H&M collection (in stores Nov. 17th). Well, I'm not. I'm not a fan of Versace designs, it's too much going on for me... Less is more is my type of look!
So the only pieces I actually like are the scarves. Why? Because I imagine myself wearing them in a total black look, with that brilliant spike of color. They are the kind of accessories that will make the difference, and will you stand out.

This is the second time I mencione her. First because of a cut-out shoulder dress, now for her overall style.

She's known for her beautiful and unique voice, but also for her growing influence in the fashion world. Florence performed at Chanel SS fashion show, were besides singing she was revealed as the new muse for Karl Lagerfeld. Other than that, she is constantly featured in fashion magazines and websites as a style icon, in a great variety of environments, such as red carpet events or music festivals.

So today, while I was on the crowded, CROWDED train to Lisbon, a women walked in with a black Furla Candy bag.

I was like "No way, it's bad enough to take this train during rush hour, I can't even move, and now I see my most wanted object, the one I love & desire since first sight!". Really, it's the one and only object I care this much about... I've never wanted any other piece of clothing or accessory so badly as I want this bag! It's all about its design... So perfectly clean, minimal shaped, and it's just plastic! Then it has that see-through, glossy appearance... For me it's like the most beautiful piece ever designed.

I hope I can afford one someday. When I have a paycheck, eventually...

I stumbled upon the latest Comme des Garçons collection and I was STUNNED! This is an all-white collection, which is quite unusual in Rei Kawakubo's designs - just take a quick look at Style.com timelime for Comme des Garçons and you'll understand why.
Birth, marriage, death, transcendence - the most important and spiritual stages of life served as inspiration to this very impressive, ethereal and yet so strong collection. It's my favourite so far, because it gives us so much besides the concept. A true work of art.

Encontrei por acaso a última colecção de Comme des Garçon e fiquei abismada! O branco total não era de esperar, tendo em conta as colecções a que Rei Kawakubo nos habituou.
Nascimento, casamento, morte e transcendência - as etapas mais importante e espirituais da vida serviram de inspiração para esta colecção impressionante, etérea mas ainda assim muito forte. É a minha preferida até agora por ir tão além do conceptual. Uma verdadeira obra de arte.

This is my favourite trend of the moment! I think I'll try to find this type of dress for my birthday next month, or maybe I can make one. The best of these no-shoulder pieces is that you can have them in really different fabrics, like very soft ones for a more elegant look, or more solid, winter-like fabrics to get an edgy look.
In my opinion, this comes as a successor of the one-shoulder look. I'm not really into asymetrics, as many other people, so the cut out shoulder is the perfect choice - to show a bit of skin in a very sophisticated way.

Esta é actualmente a minha tendência preferida! Vou tentar encontrar um vestido deste género para os meus anos, ou talvez até possa fazê-lo eu mesma. O melhor destas peças de ombros descobertos é que podem existir tanto em tecidos muito leves e soltos para um look mais elegante, como em tecidos mais encorpados e de inverno, que dão uma aparência mais edgy.

Na minha opinião, este é o sucessor do look de um só ombro. Eu não gosto especialmente de peças assimétricas, tal como muitas outras pessoas, e para nós estes vestidos sem ombros são a opção perfeita: mostrar um pouco de pele de uma maneira muito sofisticada.

It's actually quite interesting to do a quick research about them: who are they? what are they wearing? where do they live? etc. I think it's good to know them a bit better, because, in the end, they will decide what you will be wearing...
